2008 kicks off with Maria Elena Sol. This coffee is grown with love and dedication at a farm owned by the former Miss El Salvador, Maria Elena Sol. The coffee is grown under shade trees; tended and harvested by hand. In recent years many farms in El Salvador have abandoned organic farming. In contrast, Maria Elena Sol continues to produce organic coffee as a matter of principle.
Maria Elena Sol is 100% Arabica grown at elevationa above 1000 meters (3000ft). It has notes of toasted almonds, nutmeg and cedar. Hand-roasted Full City (Dark/Medium).
